Arthur Cohen (American, 1928-2012) was a painter and printmaker fascinated with architecture. While many of his earliest works were of cathedrals throughout Italy, Cohen, a native New Yorker, always returned to the timeless imagery of his home. His works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Museum of the City of New York; Brooklyn Museum, NY; New York Historical Society; Boston Museum of Fine Arts; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC; and more.
