JAKE MUIRHEAD
LOT 25

Jake Muirhead (American), working with printer Susan Goldman at Lily Press, produced an exquisite set of five etchings of familiar objects. Published in a small edition of eight, the etchings feature Muirhead’s recognizable gestural drawing style, giving constant movement to his subjects and freeing them from the stillness usually associated with their insentience. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide including at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Maryland and Japan Print Association, Tokyo; and was part of the Taller Xalubinia Third Annual International Printmaking Exhibition in Menorco, Spain, as well as the 2008 Pacific Rim International Print Exhibition in Christchurch, New Zealand.
